AI Chief of Staff for Your Career: How to Use Jordan to Navigate Your Next Move

Chief of Staff team·

Generic career advice doesn't work, because careers are specific. "Network more" is useless if you're a 3-year engineer trying to break into product. "Negotiate harder" is useless if you don't know what's reasonable for your level in your market. "Take ownership" is useless if you've tried and your manager keeps assigning you ticket-fixing work.

Jordan is an AI career chief of staff. It knows what you do, where you are in your career, your timeframe, and how much time you can put into your career this week. And then it tells you what to do — specifically.

Here's how to actually use it.

1. Interview prep that knows the company

Paste the role. Paste the JD. Tell Jordan which rounds you're pre-scheduled for.

Jordan runs mock behavioral rounds, mock technical rounds (for technical roles), and mock leadership rounds (for senior roles) tailored to the specific company's format. It tells you where you're sharp and where you're fuzzy. Between rounds, you come back to Jordan — it remembers every answer you gave, and pushes harder on the ones you struggled with.

2. Resume and LinkedIn triage that isn't generic

Paste in the current version. Jordan rewrites with your actual impact numbers. It cuts the hedges ("responsible for," "worked on," "contributed to") and replaces them with outcomes. It tells you where the resume is lying for you (leading with a recent role when your earlier one is stronger, e.g.) and where it's lying against you (burying a result you should be leading with).

3. Salary negotiation with real numbers

When you get an offer, paste the full package. Jordan walks you through:

  • Is this market? (Given your level, role, geography, company stage.)
  • What's negotiable? (Base vs. equity vs. signing.)
  • What's the script? (Exact words, not "be confident.")

If you're negotiating a raise with your current employer, Jordan helps you build the 90-day case: what you've shipped, what it was worth, what your counterparts at comparable companies make.

4. Promotion strategy that's not just "do more"

You're stuck at your level. Jordan helps you diagnose why.

Is it visibility? (Your manager doesn't see what you're doing.) Is it scope? (The work you're doing isn't senior-level work.) Is it the org? (There's no open spot at the next level.)

The answer changes the strategy completely. Jordan asks the right questions to find the real one, then builds a plan you can actually execute.

5. Career switches, grounded in what's feasible

"I want to switch from engineering to PM." Great — but is that a 3-month move, a 12-month move, or a 2-year move? Jordan maps the gap: what skills you already have, what you need to build, and the three role archetypes (internal transfer, lateral at a new company, associate PM program) that make the jump realistic.

What Jordan won't do

  • Jordan doesn't apply for jobs for you.
  • Jordan doesn't schedule coffee chats.
  • Jordan doesn't fix a manager relationship that's broken beyond repair.

But Jordan will tell you, honestly, whether you should fix that relationship or leave. Most AI tools won't say it one way. Jordan will.

How to start

One conversation. Four questions: what you do, where you are, what you want, how much time you have per week. Then Jordan builds the plan and walks you through it.
